Our New Home

Well in the last post I was telling you that me and Jerry had found us a place and we would be moving soon. We are all moved in and I am so happy in my house. It took me a while to get things unpacked and put in it's place but I am getting there now. I have some pictures I am going to share with you. We now live in Blountville Tennessee, We are right outside of Bristol. We are close enough to town without being right in the middle it. Now when the race comes to town (at the end of March) we will not get caught in all the race traffic. My dogs seem to be really happy here too they love the big back yard they and run and play in. Moving Time Is Coming

you all know that me a Jerry moved to Bristol Tennessee about this time last year. His parents welcomed us to stay with them until we could get on our feet and find us a nice place of our own. Well the time has come and we found us a real nice place over the weekend. Its a brick house with black stutters, a big back yard for the dogs, 2 bedrooms, its really cute and I can't wait to make it my home. They are putting polyurathane on the floors right now so it will be a week or two before we get to more in. I am putting some pictures up so everyone can see what it looks like. Hope you like it

It's all new in 2009

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and new year. I got to go home and see the family and we had a great time. We got to talking about old times and just laughed. I got a new camera for Christmas from Jerry so I have a lot of pictures and I am going to try to put them on here but I am not that good at posting pictures. Me and Jerry came down on Christmas Eve and seen my friend Kristi while we waiting on the family to get back from eating. Then we got to mom's and talked and laughed and I guess it was to much for Jerry and Ashley cause I looked over and they were both sleeping!!! It was funny!! We got up Christmas day had breakfast then opened all our gifts!! That Santa is a tricky guy he always knows what I want and puts in right under the tree for me. After we opened the gifts we loaded up and went to mema's and eat lunch. That was some good eating by the way!! Then we all gathered around the tree and opened gifts. Then we headed to the ford's Christmas gathering. Then had some finger foods and talked to everyone. We do this thing with gift cards that I still have a hard time understanding but my aunt Cathy takes care of that anyways we all bring gift cards then we draw numbers and you pick a card ( you can't tell what it is) or you can steal one that someone already has it great fun . after all the fun of Christmas day was over me and Jerry had to head home cause we both had to work the next day. ( leaving is always the hard part) We made it home and unloaded everything and went to bed.. My sister got my mom and web cam and she gave me the other one and now we and see each other whenever we want to it is the coolest thing. We just sit there and laugh at each other the whole time. My papa has one to but I have not talked to him yet. I think that was the best thing I got for Christmas this year! Thanks Ashley!! I will go for now hope everyone enjoys.

So I know i have been slack I have not posted in a long time!!! I am going to try to do better!!!
Well let me tell you whats be happening in Bristol. The race has come and gone thank goodness, I have never seen so many people in a little town at one time in my life. We live very close to the race track so when its here the locals can't get anywhere.. I mean I could not get to wal-mart cause of all the campers that where everywhere it's just crazy. People parked all up and down the parkway I mean miles from the track and walked (drunk as skunks) They just sit on the side of the road in there lawn chairs and there beer.... Just crazy like I said.. We got of town that day and spent the day at the fair we had a great time!!! My life long friend Kristi come up to watch the race and she came by the house and hung out for a while to let the traffic clear out b-4 she headed back over the mountian...






There is one other thing I want to share with you. I guess you are wondering why I named this post E.M.T.?????? Jerry is now a E.M.T. in training. He is going to school and working at the life saving crew. The pulls duty every Saturday night 6 pm to 6 am. His goal is to be a flight paramedic. It kinda scares me but I am a supportive wife. I am very proud of him for doing what he does.
I will try to do better at posting so my family will know what is going on with us I love ya'll and see everyone soon..

Momma, Mema and Ashley Oh My!!!!!!

First of all I know it's been a while since I wrote but I have been real busy!!!!! Just to let everyone know things are going good up here. I am happy but I miss my family a lot!!!! Ok now I will get to the story!
Momma Mema and Ashley came up to see me and we had a great time. We just got in the car and rode till we seen somewhere we wanted to go. We went to the South Holston Dam it's so pretty up there, we went to the mall and shopped a little bit. Ashley looked for all the boutique's and we found a few. We also went to Elizabethton looking for scrap book store's for mema. ( We laugh cause she called it Elizabeth Town) Well come to think about it we laughed the whole time. Every time we went some where we would use the GPS cause I still don't know that much about the roads up here I can get you to Wal-mart and Food City, But there are no interstates up here so everywhere you go you have to go through neighborhoods and back roads. We have so much fun just riding around cause they thought it was so weird that everywhere you go you have to ride though a neighborhood. I have a few pictures I want to share with you and I hope you enjoy them. I will be coming home in may for a wedding and I can't wait to see everyone we miss you all very much and we love you!!!!!!

We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas this year!! Jerry and I had a wonderful 1st Christmas together. Santa got me everything I wanted. Christmas day is always a very busy day for us, we have all our fun in one day. We spend the whole day with family and friends, all we do is eat, give out gifts, and talk about all the goings on in the world. I think I am very lucky to have a family like mine. I hear so many story's about how people get together on Christmas with family and all they do is fuss and fight with each other, I can gladly say my family is not one of those. I am just thankful to have a family like I do!!!! I have a very big family and I have always said the more the marrier. I couldn't ask for any better then what I got!!!! Jerry is not used to big family's but I think he getting the hang of it, he fits right in. The first year he came with me for Christmas he was so nervous and now he just goes with the flow. My mema always picks on him cause he pulls for Tennessee Volunteer's and we all pull for the gamecocks, it's so funny cause they go back and forth with each other all the time. (thats why I named my blog the volunteer gamecock) To wrap this up I had a great Christmas and I just want to say thanks to everyone for everything and I hope you have a great New Year!!!
